He was born in Vila Nova de Gaia, in 1979.

He started having private classic piano lessons with 11 years old. At 19, began his hornpipe self-learning, being supported by the Galician teacher Maria Xosé López Villar.

As Bagpiper and flute player, he was part of the band “Arrefole”, since its foundation until November of 2005, concluding the partnership with the recording of the first album. He was also part of the bands “Bailebúrdia” since its foundation until October of 2009, and Lúmen since 2007.

Nowadays, he is a member of the bands “Pé na Terra”, “Karrossel”, “Míscaros” and “Trovas d’Amigo”.

At the same time, he is a Bagpipe teacher in Portugal.

Founded and directs the project “Gaiteirus.com”, which aims to propagate the Bagpipe in Portugal.

Bass and percussions

He was born in Paços de Ferreira, in 1982.

He has a degree in cinema and video, by Escola Superior Artística do Porto (ESAP) and has been developing several performances in this area, such as the band clip “Stubborm”.

As a musician, he has had bass lessons, having joined projects like “Scream” in 1997 and “Article 37”, in which also recorded a sample.

He has been a member of Pé na Terra since 2007

Voice, accordion, percussions.

She was born in Ermesinde, in 1983. 

She has a degree in Psychology and a post -graduation in Music Therapy.

Has attended singing lessons and is also an autodidact in accordion and in some percussion instruments.

As a head singer, she has been part of some musical projects, always related to folk/traditional music, such as “Arrefole” (2001/ 2006), in which participated in the recording of the album, as well as “Lúmen” (2006/ 2008), in which performed in several stages.

In 2005, founded the band “Pé na Terra”, with two other members.

Guitar, braguesa, percussions, voice.

He was born in Paços de Ferreira, in 1979.

Finished the fourth degree of the Conservatory in Conservatório de Música do Porto and is a guitar autodidact since 1992. His first project was called “Ocaso”(95/05), in which he recorded three samples and participated in several shows. In the meanwhile, left to another project called “The Freak”, in which he won various contests. With this band, he recorded an EP, in 2001. Later, was also invited as a drummer, by the band “Stubborm” having recorded a single and a clip.

Tradicional battery, adufe, tar, bilha, sanzula, darbuka...

He was born in 1989, in Porto.

Finished the Interpret course of ACE (Academia Contemporânea do Espectáculo) in 2007 and, related to his training, he participated in several workshops and shows.

As a musician, he enhances his percussion training. In 2003, he finished a Galician traditional percussion course with Maria Xosé Lopez. Later, he attended a training course of Arabian percussion in the "Arabesk" association. Nowadays, he is attending a percussion course in the Conservatório Regional de Gaia, guided by Professor Paulo Costa.

As a percussionist, he is part of the bands "Pé na Terra" (from which he is a co-founder) and "Toque de Caixa", and animator in the bands "Míscaros" and "Pantomina".

He is also co-founder of the project "Gaiteirus.com", which aims to propagate the Hornpipe in Portugal and coordinator of a percussion group in an institution called CERCIAG - Cooperativa de Educação e Reabilitação de Cidadãos Inadaptados de Águeda.
